A Word A Week Challenge – Colourful (week2)
In view of the fact that I posted colourful pictures for the DP challenge and travel theme the irony of my dictionary falling open at this word does not pass me by. I also know that third eye mom did a colours challenge the other week but I want to stay true to the aim of opening up the dictionary up anywhere and using that word. Colourful use of primary and secondary in pastels, vivid, dayglo, rich, intense, mixed or clashing can convey a mood, set a tone or create a feeling. In the animal world it can warn of danger or be used as a disguise. Colourful patterns adorn our walls, textiles and clothing. The colourful world is beautiful. What is your interpretation?
Once a week I will dip into my old English Oxford dictionary and pick a word on the page that it falls open at. The challenge is to post a photograph, drawing, poem, story, quote, thought – whatever the genre you like best to describe of what that word means to you. Add a link back to my blog in your post so I know you are taking part and can post your link to the challenge page. If you would like generate more interest to your post feel free to add your link into the comments section of my challenge post. That way other people can check out your interpretation of the challenge. In your tags include postaday/week. I will try to post the new challenge every Monday.
