Apart from the normal still photos, I occasionally put together a few short videos which I have taken with the camera. Here is a link to one of the videos which is on Youtube, a scenic helicopter flight in Switzerland. Some nice scenery to watch......Switzerland at its best.

The clarinet player I met on San Francisco's Embarcadero a couple of years ago; he started playing in 1947 when he was young, and hasn't stopped. I haven't seen him the last few times I've been in the City. I hope he is well, and continues to play beautiful music where ever he is. I keep running by this photo in my files, and the very thought of hearing that lovely clarinet down by the waterfront makes me stop every time.

Even though Sue had given some clues of this subject but I prefer to stick to this word of FACE just FACE. In this challenge I'd like to expose face of children as I like it. Children's face show the honestly, no fake face. Other faces I want to explore are face of insects. The most I like is face of caterpillar because it's unique and it's part of self defenses from predators by showing us the fake face :D.

A WORD A WEEK CHALLENGE – FACE

This week the dictionary has fallen open at the word FACE. There are a few interpretations to face, to face the music, to face someone the face or side of something, to face materaial, to put a brave face on however the one that stands out is a persons face. I’ve taken a lot of potrature photos whilst travelling. Here are some and good luck with the challenge.

Another New Zealand photo today, and Mount Aspiring which rises to 3033m. It is often called the Matterhorn of the South, due to its similarity. The first recorded ascent took place in 1909, although now it is frequently climbed as it is not too technical.

This week the dictionary has fallen open at the word MOUNTAIN. This one should be good for the climbers, amongst us. I tend to admire them from afar after my attempt on the highest mountain in Ireland. After picking my way across bog and fen and climbing 3/4 of the way before having to crawl up on hands and knees because it was so steep, the mist descended so the view at the top was obscured. Sheep bounded past me and goats looked perplexed when my knee decided to lock on the way back down and me and my companion contemplated calling out air rescue. We made it back eventually
