Taking to the Open Road

Time seems to speed up as I slow down and the year that is will soon be over. 2012 has been comparatively quiet, but has not been without its own challenges. In the taming of my wanderlust I have learned patience and reserve. I have learned how to temper my anticipation and delay gratification for a later, larger pay-off. I have learned how to find sporadic satisfaction and contentment again, here in this harbour city, in this apartment by the ever-restless sea.

This is the year that was.
