Madiba Tata – Nelson Mandella

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.” — Nelson Mandela

The day I arrived in Cape Town Nelson Mandella passed away and I now in a city which is mourning the man know respectfully as Madiba Tata and celebrating his life that has endured hardship, incarceration, torture, freedom and international acclaim.

  1. He was a great statesman and brought people together. A natural leader of the Rainbow Nation who showed compassion and forgiveness when violence could so easily have erupted. A shame his party don’t have the same values. I really hope South Africans can work together for a better future despite the fact he is no longer with them.
Hope you are enjoying Cape Town Sue. My second home.
